HMD Global, which now produces Nokia phones, has officially announced the mid-range Nokia X5. The X5, like its X6 brother, has a notch and a glass body, signaling that HMD is now fully engaged in the design trend begun by Apple's iPhone X.
The Nokia X5 is a more affordable version of the X6. It has a HD + 5.9-inch screen and a 19: 9 format. The quality is slightly lower than that of the X6, which means that streaming video and games will not be as good.
The X5 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and it contains a battery of 3060 mAh. It has options for 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of storage. As for cameras, it has an 8 megapixel selfie camera and two 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel cameras at the back, next to a fingerprint sensor.
The device runs Android 8.1 and costs only $ 148.70 (or 999 yuan), which is a reasonable price considering suboptimal specifications. The Nokia X5 is available in black, blue and white and is available for pre-order in China right now. There is no word yet to know if the device arrives in other countries.
