From Formula 1 racing teams to direct competitors, everyone mourns the famous Italian
Sergio Marchionne, the Latest icon of the executive branch of the automotive industry, was confirmed dead Wednesday morning after allegedly suffering from an embolism while undergoing shoulder surgery. The unexpected complications caused Marchionne to fall into a coma from which he never returned. Now, the auto industry and the business sector are crying the loss of a true leader
The Italian-Canadian was born from humble beginnings and that's only when his family fled to Toronto due to a hostile socio-political climate in Italy that Marchionne's prowess became apparent during his school years and possibly manpower. During his career, but especially during his tenure at Fiat Chrysler, Marchionne gained a reputation for touring bankrupt companies and wearing sweaters rather than suits.
However, one of Marchionne's greatest achievements is profitability but to gain the respect of his peers and even his competitors, most of whom shared their sadness through public statements or publications on the networks
