The greatest living American songwriter comes to Netflix.

"My loud and loud prayer."

This is how Bruce Springsteen describes his now legendary work (not to mention its length) during Springsteen at Broadway show. Since October of last year, New Jersey's tallest son is organizing a one-man show (with the help of his lovely wife, singer-songwriter Patti Scialfa, on a few songs) that is sure to make a difference. will complete after its 236th performance on December 15th. The day before, a record documenting the intimate concerts (also entitled Springsteen at Broadway) will be on the shelves just in time for those of us who have idolized The Boss all our lives to put our Christmas lists.

Now, there is a trailer for the show, which has apparently been turned into a showcase of Jonathan Demme-esque (think: more Hitchcock front than Stop making sense), where Bruce guides us in his life and work, one song at a time.

Viewing:

Well, I barely managed to cross this clip without tearing. Speaking as having seen Springsteen live five times and seeing him as a personal hero, this show has become a sort of unattainable Holy Grail, thanks to his life in Texas and soaring ticket prices, almost immediately after his projections in 2017 I'm really happy that Netflix brings him home. So I can put it in the background while opening presents and cooking Christmas ham.

Springsteen at Broadway hits Netflix on December 16th.
