Billy Joel celebrated a record milestone Wednesday night – his 100th performance at Madison Square Garden – with a surprise guest. The New Yorker turned to New Jersey and appealed to Bruce Springsteen to celebrate this historic moment. The pair of icons played a few songs together.

Springsteen sat on Joel's piano for part of their performance of "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" as the platform on which they were filming. He also put on his guitar and after a count of two, they went into "Born to Run" with the audience who joined him while Joel supported him on the piano.

Nobody has played at Madison Square Garden as many times as Joel. He launched a monthly residency in the famous arena in 2014 and recently extended it until 2018. Currently, the venue is offering tickets until December 2018. Joel has also recently welcomed surprise guests , Lou Gramm and Mick Jones on stage to perform "Urgent" and "Cold". like Ice. "

Earlier Wednesday, Netflix announced that they would broadcast Springsteen's one-man show, Springsteen on Broadway .The show will air on December 15, the last day of the series at Walter Kerr Theater The musician recently surprised his audience with his first Broadway reminder with "This Hard Land."
