Saturday night, it seemed like the autumn was in the air as it was downright cold. It was a great change and welcome relief from our recent 7-day heat wave. Weather has moderated a bit on Sunday but it looks like temperatures will continue to warm up and become wetter as the week progresses and the 90s may be in the early forecast.
There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoons and evenings. The national meteorological service says: "The high pressure will remain under control until Monday evening, providing dry conditions and especially clear skies. The temperatures will not be as cool tonight, but will remain below normal for this period of the year … climbing a few degrees above normal Monday and should be near normal Monday night … "
Peaks will be back in the 80's on the coast Tuesday and in the 1990s in the interior and north of Connecticut.
"As the front gets closer, there will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday evening afternoons and evenings," says the National Weather Service.
