After a number of attempts, the UPDF police and maritime units finally removed the wreckage from the water boat, ending the fifth day.

A joint operation of the UPDF police and marine forces and the local population managed to recover 32 bodies and save 26 people, including Prince David Wasajja of Buganda and musician Iryn Namubiru after the boat that capsized on Lake Victoria Saturday.
It is unclear how many people were aboard the ship, but witnesses say that there could have been more than 100 people on board and searches are continuing to find a number of people still missing.
