Tarek El Moussa has tested positive for COVID-19 despite his full vaccination, Page Six can confirm.
“He has since done his part to stay safe and recover by quarantining himself with his fiancee, Heather Rae Young, who are both fully vaccinated,” a representative told Page Six on Tuesday.
The publicist also said El Moussa, 40, and Young, 34, were tested “several times a week” while filming their respective shows, “Flip or Flop” and “Selling Sunset”.
“Tarek had many negative tests last week and one positive,” added the representative. “Heather Rae’s tests all came back negative.”

Production of their HGTV and Netflix shows was immediately postponed “out of caution,” we are told.
A separate source has confirmed that production on “Selling Sunset” has been halted and that they will “test the cast and crew twice this week before resuming production.”
“The couple took all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of everyone,” added the representative of El Moussa and Young. “Tarek is listening to his doctors’ advice and won’t be scheduled to resume filming until he’s tested negative and his quarantine is over.”
We are told that the real estate investor feels good and has no symptoms. Young also “continues to feel good and to test negative.”

El Moussa himself did not address his positive COVID-19 test on social media, but he recently shared Instagram stories of himself promoting his mentorship program.
In the clips, he was casually dressed in a hat and t-shirt, and the video appears to have been taken from his home.
Young has also not posted online about her fiancé who contracted COVID-19.
However, she wished her father a happy 75th birthday on Monday and added, “Sorry, we had to postpone the celebration” without any further explanation.

El Moussa and Young are expected to get married soon. The couple got engaged on a boat trip to Catalina Island near Los Angeles in July 2020 after dating for a year.
The couple’s representative told Page Six exclusively that their quarantine had caused “no disruption to their marriage plans.”
