According to several reports, there is another series of pre-series "Game of Thrones", which will focus on the Targaryen family.

Deadline, the Hollywood Reporter and Variety all reported Thursday that the show was about to be commissioned as a pilot. It will be based on George R.R. Martin's "Fire and Blood", a sprawling story of the Targaryen clan riding dragons and its conquest of Westeros.

Martin, who wrote HBO's "Game of Thrones" series of "Song of Ice and Fire" novels, wrote the pilot with "Colony" executive producer Ryan Condal, according to reports. Martin has not finished his series of books yet.

The Targaryen series would run 300 years before the "Game of Thrones" event, which ended earlier this year, winning record odds and Emmy nominations, despite public and criticism.

There is another prequel series "Game of Thrones" already in production. It stars Naomi Watts and is thousands of years before the "Game of Thrones" events. he will focus on the beginnings of the Stark family, originally from the wicked White Walkers and Age of Heroes. Jane Goldman ("X-Men: First Class") and Martin are the creators of this series.

The title of the series already in production is still not known, but Martin has hinted that it could be called "The Long Night".

An HBO spokesperson did not return CNBC's request for comment.
