FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Tarrant County Public Health texted the hundreds of thousands of people in its database on Wednesday, November 25 regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and Thanksgiving celebrations.
He began to say it was an urgent message as cases of COVID-19 continue to increase rapidly in the region.
“Health officials urge you to stay home except for essential activities,” he said while reminding people to wear face masks when in public.
“For the holiday season ahead, do not attend gatherings other than with members of our immediate household,” the post read.
He also told people to monitor themselves for symptoms, isolate if they have any, and get tested.

Under a new order from Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley, face masks will be required at businesses in Tarrant County until February 2021.
