With this expansion, the Ravens guard a member of their 24 year old defense as he enters the force of age. Young will be 25 next month.

Young spent three seasons with the Ravens and became one of their best defensive players. Not only is he fit to cover slots receivers, but he is one of their best strikers and outdoor playmakers. Despite his 5-foot-9, 185-pound frame, Young plays with impressive physics. In short, he plays like a raven.

Young was a fourth-round pick from Temple in 2016 and immediately earned playing time as a rookie with 44 tackles and two interceptions in 16 games. Due to injuries, he started 11 games, including an outside bend. Young missed the entire 2017 season after suffering an ACL tear in June of the same year.

Young, however, rebounded with his best season in 2018, after finding his best position in the slot, which is extremely important. He recorded 37 tackles, two sacks, one interception and two touchdowns. Young returned two fumbles for the touchdowns last season, one against the Atlanta Falcons and one against the Los Angeles Chargers.
