Taylor Swift says goodbye to 2020 in giant bear costume: ‘It’s weird’

Both albums debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and earned Swift the seventh and eighth consecutive No.1 albums of her career. (Folklore in particular, has spent eight non-consecutive weeks at No.1 since its July release and became the first and only established studio this year to sell more than a million copies in October.)

Meanwhile, the main single from each studio – Folklorecomfortable “Cardigan” and AlwaysWitch’s “Willow” – also peaked on the Hot 100 when released, making her the premiere Billboard just to debut at the top of both charts simultaneously, and to do it not once but twice.

And as if releasing two surprise albums during a pandemic wasn’t enough, Swift also revealed Long Pond studio sessions on Disney +, and remains at work to re-record the first five albums in his back catalog following the ongoing saga on his masters’ property with Scooter Braun and former label boss Scott Borchetta. While Tay has yet to reveal when any of these re-recorded projects will be ready, she did give fans a preview of the updated version of “Love Story” in early December thanks to a hilarious Match.com commercial made by her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds.
