Taylor Swift set to make ‘new surprise announcement’ on Good Morning America

Taylor Swift has yet another “ surprise ” in store for her dedicated fan base.

The singer-songwriter, 31, will make the “ surprise new announcement ” during an appearance Thursday on the episode of Good Morning America.

And shortly after the morning show revealed Swift’s upcoming appearance, fans began to theorize what the Grammy Award winner’s surprise might be.

Many Taylor fans suspected that she might finally release some of her “re-recordings”, which she’s been working on for a year.

Swift re-recorded his music released from 2006 to 2014, after his entire Big Machine Label Group catalog was sold – allegedly without his permission or knowledge – to Scooter Braun in 2019.

The albums included in Taylor’s seemingly hijacked music catalog are Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), and the ever-popular 1989 (2014).

Although the catalog was sold back to Shamrock Holdings for $ 300 million in November last year, Swift is able to “ re-record ” their songs, as per their contract, according to EW.

“She’s starting to drop her re-recordings !!!!!!!” an enthusiastic fan tweeted on Wednesday, when many specifically guessed that the singer would be releasing her re-recording of her 2008 single Love Story.

“These are the re-recordings !!! It’s A STORY OF LOVE FOR SAINT-VALENTIN !!!! I SWEAR THIS HAS TO BE !!!! ‘one Twitter user enthusiastically expressed, while another wrote:’ LOVE STORY IS COMINGGG ‘

Taylor gave his “Swifties” a preview of the Love Story re-recording in December, when it appeared as the backing track for the Ryan Reynolds-led commercial for Match.com.

Taking to Twitter to make her advertising debut, Swift pointed out that while “her new re-recordings are NOT complete,” she “is working hard to get the music to you soon !!”

Aside from a few potential re-recordings coming up, some fans of singer Cruel Summer have guessed that she may be releasing another album.

“New album weee” read one tweet, while another noted that fans “don’t need another album” because their “hearts have been ripped enough” by its last two releases.

In July of last year, Taylor mostly surprised his fans by releasing without warning a full album, titled Folklore, which became the soundtrack of many 40s.

Just six months later, Swift decided to remake the entire “ surprise ” outing by releasing Evermore, another full-length album, on her unsuspecting fans.

The last part of the Swift fan’s tweet referred to Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, which premiered on Disney + in late November.

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions was a concert film, captured in quarantine under strict COVID-19 protocols, which showed Taylor performing his favorite pieces out of folklore for the first time.

She was joined by fellow musicians and collaborators Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Justin Vernon, who were also part of the creation of Evermore.

Fan would no doubt be delighted to see some of their favorite Evermore hits performed acoustically by Swift and her premier music team.

Despite their big assumptions, Swift fans will have to wait until Thursday morning for the big reveal.
