‘Forever 2020!’ Taylor Swift is seen playfully fingering in a throwback snap shared by her best friend as they celebrate the New Years Eve

Taylor Swift said 2020 has been “ bizarre ” as she looks forward to a brighter 2021.

But her friend Claire Winter Kislinger said goodbye to the cursed year at the start of January 1 with a Polaroid-style snap of her popstar friend.

The image showed Taylor, 31, waving his middle finger at the camera, which her boyfriend used to dismiss the tumultuous past year.

“ Never 2020, ” she captioned the image, which appeared to be a throwback she took of the singer, who wore a purple striped dress covered in sparkling sequins.

She was looking over the shoulder of a man who had his arm around her, although it wasn’t clear if it was her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

Claire, a jewelry designer, has attended Taylor’s performances regularly in the past and has even accompanied her friend to awards shows.

At the 2018 American Music Awards, Taylor’s boyfriend Joe wasn’t in attendance, but her friend Claire got a special scream from the stage.

Taylor’s own post for New Years Eve was a little weirder than her friends.

She shared a picture of herself in a pink button-down top while wearing a thick brown bear jacket, with her face sticking out of the bear’s mouth.

“ Bye 2020, it’s been weird, ” she captioned the photo.

The photo sent some of her fans on social media searching for hidden meanings, with some speculating that she was referring to the disturbing horror film Midsommar finale, in which a man is entombed in a bear carcass.

Taylor’s release comes days after his surprise album Evermore topped the Billboard 200 chart for the second week in a row.

The album was released with little warning on December 11, following their surprise album Folklore in July.

Earlier in December, Taylor told Zane Lowe that the siblings’ albums got their inspiration and mood from the seasons.

“One thing I wanted to do with folklore was I wanted it to represent spring and summer. And when I created Evermore, I knew I wanted to fill in the rest of the seasons of the year and make it reflect fall and winter, ” she said.
