Earlier today, the club demoted the rookie Dalton keene out as he continues to struggle with a knee problem that kept him from playing the Bills a week ago. Rookie Fellow Devin Asiasi is currently in the casualty reserve. Not long ago, the Patriots promoted a trio of players from the practice squad for tonight’s game with the Jets, but a rookie defensive lineman Berry consumption, which doubles as a tight end, was not one of them.
New England, however, completed their D-line and linebacker positions, which were affected by two significant downgrades on Sunday, with Tashaun Bower and Terez Hall called up from the practice squad. WR Kristian Wilkerson is also bred tonight to help provide depth to this spot.
Meanwhile, despite returning to practice last week, RB Sony michel remains on the injured reserve. Michel hasn’t been activated for tonight’s game, but New England still has a few weeks to decide when and if they want to. In the meantime, Rex Burkhead, James White, and Damien harris will be the team’s ball carriers.
Also note, QB Brian Hoyer is once again the odd man among the Patriots’ three QBs, which he has been since the Chiefs game a few weeks ago.
Most notable from the Jets perspective is the absence of a starting QB tonight. Sam darnold. A shoulder injury prevented him from training twice last week and he was initially listed as questionable to play tonight as a result.
