EAGAN, Minnesota. – The Vikings have announced that eight players will be captains all season long for 2021.
The group consists of four players who were previously captains, plus four players who will play this role for the first time as Vikings. The group is divided into five attacking and three defending players.
Here’s who will wear the “C” for the Vikings this season (players listed in alphabetical order):
Barr has served as captain in previous years and his presence was missed in 2020 when he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2. The four-time Pro Bowl linebacker is currently battling an undisclosed injury, but the team remains optimistic that he can return early this season, if not for the season opener on Sunday.
