Team Sonic Racing gets vehicle customization, new music and its own animated series

During today's SXSW Sonic panel, special attention has been paid to the future Team Sonic Racing kart rider. Those who are enthusiastic about the game itself, who are surfing the wave of new music or just want to see these characters all have something to be excited about. The first was the launch of TSR's customization features, which will allow you to change both the performance and appearance of your cars with parts to unlock.

It seems to be an extension of the Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed mod system, but with multiple ways to adjust your vehicle to suit its driving. More importantly, you can choose from a wide list of horns, paint jobs, tires, etc., to make your ride as you wish. These will be unlocked by spending in the game currency, even if it looks like games (including rare and legendary games) will be won at random.

After that, a new musical track (or rather a new arrangement) was created by Jun Senoue himself. Coming from Sonic Heroes, Bingo Highway begins to love one of the best new circuits to come. Listen and hear not only the guitar awaited, but also a cascade of chips, blips and blups, offered by the Japanese musician Toriena:

To close the revelations of the TSR, it was announced that the game would be linked to an animated series of the same team behind Sonic Mania Adventures, called Team Sonic Racing Overdrive. He proposes a style of his own while continuing to tell stories through actions and situations rather than through dialogue. Of course, it is a more modern cast, it has a contemporary cast and adorns the world with characters such as Chao and Big the Cat. Take a look at his first (of two) parts of the surprise start:

All this froggy merch? Is Chao just what it takes? The joints are joints? Perfection. The second episode is scheduled for release in April, before the full release of the game, although the Froggy T-shirts and the hat that created a perfect Big Bait are now available. You know what to do.

Expect Team Sonic Racing, whose release on Switch and other platforms will take place on May 21st.

When it does not write for Nintendo Wire, Ricky anticipates the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or, if ever the stars line up, Mother 3 will be released. Until then, he will have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros.
