With James Harden and Jrue Holiday traded and Giannis Antetokounmpo now on a supermax stretch, Bradley Beal is the biggest NBA star who could possibly hit the market in the near future given the Washington Wizards’ continued struggles. Beal may become a free agent after the 21-22 season, which could lead the Wizards to trade him.
“This is what everyone is talking about in the league,” Brian Windhorst said on his podcast. “There are executives out there … I’m just telling you this, I’m talking to them … talking about the moves they can make before that trade deadline, or the moves they can make now that could set themselves up to make Bradley Beal an even better offer when that moment hits, whether it’s March or August.
“There are so many people watching this, although to my knowledge he hasn’t made any requests for anything.”
The Wizards are 3-11 on the season, but Beal has a plus / minus in the minutes he’s played. Beal also leads the NBA in scoring with 35.4 points per game.
