NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WPBN / WGTU) – Electrical crews are trying to restore electrical power to thousands of people left without power following a major storm across the state.

There are over 1,000 Consumers Energy customers without electricity between Indian River and Gaylord along I-75.

Other smaller power outages are reported on the south shore of Lake Charlevoix due to the destruction of trees. There are also hundreds without electricity in the counties of Leelanau, Benzie and Manistee.

Great Lakes Energy reports 6,062 people without electricity in this state.

Almost Isle Electric & Gas reports 4,079 in northern Michigan.

Cloverland Electric reports 5,802 outages in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Cherryland Electric reports only two customers without electricity Monday morning.
