ENGLEWOOD, Colorado – After suffering a concussion in the Broncos’ loss to the Ravens in Week 4, Teddy Bridgewater returned to meetings and the weight room on Wednesday.

Head coach Vic Fangio said Bridgewater was allowed to watch the movie, and he noted that the quarterback lifted weights on Wednesday.

Bridgewater was not allowed to participate in these activities when the Broncos were at the UCHealth training facility on Monday.

“He’s getting better,” Fangio said Wednesday.

Bridgewater won’t be training on Wednesday, but Fangio said it was possible he would be a limited participant on Thursday.

Bridgewater cannot play against the Steelers on Sunday unless he is cleared from protocol.

Wide receiver Diontae Spencer (chest), cornerback Pat Surtain II (chest) and running back Melvin Gordon III (leg) are also not scheduled to practice on Wednesday.

Fangio said he was “fairly confident” that Gordon will play on Sunday, and Spencer and Surtain are sticking around.

Outside linebacker Andre Mintze (hamstrings), guards Graham Glasgow (knee) and Dalton Risner (ankle) and linebacker Baron Browning (back) were scheduled to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. All four players missed Sunday’s game against the Ravens.

Fangio has said he also expects cornerback Ronald Darby to train this week and that there is a possibility Darby will return from the injured reserve to play this weekend in Pittsburgh. It’s also possible that the team will activate IR running back Mike Boone.

UPDATE [4:53 p.m. MT]: The following players did not train: Teddy Bridgewater (concussions), Melvin Gordon III (lower leg), Bobby Massie (unrelated to injury – rest), Diontae Spencer (chest), Pat Surtain II (chest). The following players were limited: Baron Browning (back), Graham Glasgow (knee), Von Miller (non-injury related – rest), Andre Mintze (hamstrings), Albert Okwuegbunam (hamstrings).
