Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry reveals she and her family have contracted COVID-19

Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry, her children and ex-husband Javi Marroquin have all contracted COVID-19.

Speaking on her podcast, Baby Mamas No Drama, Kailyn said she knew she was infected with the virus after losing her sense of taste and smell.

“I knew that because I had been craving shit all week,” said the 29-year-old. “Once I lost my taste and smell, I knew what it was. Like, I knew.

The reality TV star believes she and her children may have been infected with the virus during their recent trips to the Dominican Republic.

Kailyn is regularly tested as part of her Teen Mom filming job. She tested negative both during her trip and again after her return.

Not only has Kailyn tested positive, her podcast co-host Vee Rivera is also currently battling the virus.

She expressed regret for potentially exposing people, despite her negative test results.

“I just felt bad, we were on vacation. I obviously wouldn’t have been with people if I had known I had Covid, but I tested negative twice, ”Kailyn said.

Fortunately, Kailyn’s children are “asymptomatic”.

‘So all the kids have it. They’re all asymptomatic really, ”she explained.

Kailyn said she sent her son Lincoln to his father Javi after the youngster tested negative.

However, Lincoln ended up testing positive and his father also has the virus.

In an update regarding her illness, she told Hollywood Life, “Fortunately, children are asymptomatic. So it was good. I come from the other side. And I hope to be cleared later this week, and you know, go back to work and do it all, but I feel better now, ”she told Hollywood Life.

Vee is vaccinated, but it’s not entirely clear if Kailyn received the vaccine. Earlier this year, Kailyn said she and her children would “absolutely not” receive the vaccine.

This isn’t Kailyn’s first contact with COVID-19; the reality TV star also revealed on her podcast that she fell ill with the virus last year while on a trip to Iceland. His son Lincoln also had COVID-19 earlier this year in March.

Kailyn has four children. She shares her 11-year-old son Isaac with her ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera. Seven-year-old son Lincoln is the ex-husband of Javi Marroquin. She and her ex Chris Lopez have a son Lux, three, and Creed, one.

Lowry joined the cast of Teen Mom 2 in late 2010 after appearing on the MTV 16 & Pregnant series earlier that year. Teen Mom 2 recently wrapped up its 10th season on MTV and stars Lowry, Briana DeJesus, Chelsea Houska, Jade Cline and Leah Messer.
