Teen says that he acted instinctively when he attacked the school shooter

DENVER (AP) – One of the three students who attacked an armed man in a school in the suburbs of Denver said that he had acted instinctively when he had thrown himself on the scene. # 39; striker.

Joshua Jones said at a press conference Tuesday that he had learned to flee the school shooters, not to attack, but he did what he thought was best for the moment.

Jones, Kendrick Castillo and Brendan Bialy approached the teenager who opened fire at STEM School Highlands Ranch, south of Denver, on May 7. Castillo was shot. Jones was shot in the leg twice, but said he was recovering quickly.

Jones says the three jumped almost simultaneously, but Castillo took the first step, followed by Bialy.
