Telltale Games was a largely successful studio, but despite poor management decisions, it had to close its doors last September, removing many of its critically acclaimed games. It looks like the dead do not die, though. Along with relaunching the Telltale Games website, a holding company called LCG Entertainment announced Wednesday it had bought the broken ruins of the studio. He intends to re-edit some games and develop new titles, pursuing some of the franchises of the brand.

The holding company has bought all the assets from Telltale Games and is already rehiring talent that was previously employed by the bankrupt studio. The operations are led by industry veterans Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle, who have moved the company's headquarters to Malibu. There is no word on the exact title that the company plans to republish – news about it "will be announced in the coming weeks".

Telltale Games was founded in 2004 and has quickly become the reference studio for games based on episodic storytelling. Towards the end of its activities, it has partnered with major franchises such as Game of Thrones, Batman, Mr. Robot and Marvel.
