According to a new press release from the company, the studio is coming back thanks to a purchase of all Telltale assets by a holding company called LCG Entertainment. Veterans of the gaming industry, Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle, will run this studio from its new headquarters in Malibu, California.
With the press release, we can also see a new Telltale Games website. That's all for the moment, but it's there.
With this announcement, we also know that Telltale is working on reintroducing old games from its catalog and developing new titles. At present, it is not yet known what older titles will resurface, although the new website lists some Batman games and the famous title The Wolf Among Us.
Similarly, for new titles, Telltale did not disclose whether he would continue to develop games with previous properties or whether he would develop games for new franchises. It's very trendy right now.
