Telltale Games returns, new games are on the way

In September 2018, we witnessed the unfortunate disappearance of Telltale Games. The gaming studio has made a name for itself by offering point-and-click adventures based on popular franchises, including The Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, Batman, and more.

However, it seems that Telltale has been registered. According to a new press release from the company, the studio is coming back thanks to a purchase of all Telltale assets by a holding company called LCG Entertainment. Veterans of the gaming industry, Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle, will run this studio from its new headquarters in Malibu, California.

With the press release, we can also see a new Telltale Games website. That's all for the moment, but it's there.

With this announcement, we also know that Telltale is working on reintroducing old games from its catalog and developing new titles. At present, it is not yet known what older titles will resurface, although the new website lists some Batman games and the famous title The Wolf Among Us.

Similarly, for new titles, Telltale did not disclose whether he would continue to develop games with previous properties or whether he would develop games for new franchises. It's very trendy right now.

Anyway, it's good news that Telltale Games is back, its point-and-click game brand having few peers.

The original death of Telltale appeared to stem mainly from poor management and bad business decisions. Fortunately, it appears that many former Telltale staff members are being rehired at the "new" Telltale.
