QUEENS, N.Y. – Passengers on a Delta flight at JFK airport on Thursday had enough after a delay of nearly eight hours.

Emotions escalated to the point where police officers boarded the flight to calm the game.

The flight JFK-Miami, which was originally supposed to take off around 15 hours, was stuck on the tarmac that would have waited on the ground staff.

Delta responded to passengers' tweets, saying in part: "Sorry for the inconvenience, we thank you for taking the time to share it, we will do our best to help you as soon as possible."

The plane finally took off at 23 hours. and landed in Miami at 3am.
