Publisher En Masse Entertainment, who oversaw the MMORPG Tera in the West for nearly a decade, today announced on Facebook that it will close soon.

“Today, it is with a heavy heart that we begin the process of ending the activity of En Masse Entertainment”, En Masse wrote. “Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be focusing on our team, helping them find new opportunities, and our games, to ensure you have a seamless transition.”

Founded in 2008, En Masse is owned by South Korean video game holding company Krafton Game Union, whose other studios include makers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. En Masse brought Tera to North America and Europe in 2012, and the game went free in 2013. It has since been ported to PS4 and Xbox One, but the console versions also had their fair share of bugs. In 2017, En Masse declared Tera had more than 25 million players in the world, but more recently the number of daily concurrent players on Steam peaked at around 1000.

What the future holds is not immediately clear Tera, but according to En Masse, it’s not necessarily going to stop anytime soon. “For those of you interested in Tera or Closers, there will be some news in the coming weeks,” the studio wrote. “Rest assured, support for these titles will continue.”

Hey remember Tera?
