Ohio State Teradja mitchell is a name Buckeye fans might want to get used to hearing. Although he’s been in the program for the past three seasons, Mitchell hasn’t been in the field much for the Scarlet and Gray, sitting behind other linebackers. Borland Tuff, Peter Werner, Baron browning and Justin hilliard.
This year is going to be different. These four veteran linebackers have graduated from the program and Mitchell is one of the roster’s longest-serving players. Although he has yet to be named a starting linebacker, his praises have been sung throughout fall camp and it is only a matter of time before he officially receives this honor.

Day Monday’s comments are a good indicator of what’s to come for Mitchell, but another came late last week. As Day mentioned, Ohio State announced the 2021 team captains last Friday and Mitchell was among six nominated who also included wide receivers Chris Olave and Kamryn babb, offensive lineman Thayer Munford, defensive tackle Haskell Garrett and defensive end Zach harrison.
The Buckeyes released the linebacker coach video on Monday Al Washington delivering the good news of Mitchell’s success to his father, Terry Mitchell. To say that Terry was moved when he found out his boy was a scarlet and gray captain would be an understatement.

The Ohio State social media team posted a similar video for Munford on Sunday. Mitchell Munford and the other four captains will help the Buckeyes enter the 2021 season when the team travels to Minnesota to begin the 2021 season on Thursday, September 2.
