Five star guard Terrence Clarke verbally engaged in Kentucky and will be reclassified into the 2020 recruiting class, he says at 247Sports.
"I am hiring for the University of Kentucky because, basically, the environment and everyone are present," Clarke said. "They have welcomed me since last year. I just felt the atmosphere that I wanted to be there. "
Clarke, who stood out at the Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy, had numerous college options covering the 2020 or 2021 recruiting classes, including Boston College, Duke, Memphis, Texas Tech and UCLA.
"Coach Cal has been in touch with me, my family and my coaches and he just saw something in me, so hear that push me a lot further," Clarke said. "For him to say that he wanted me to be at his school, it meant even more to me. Clarke is Kentucky's fourth commitment among the 2020 rookies. He joins five-star guard BJ Boston and four-star rookies Cam'Ron Fletcher and Lance Ware.
