Tesla announces a new ‘Gigabeer’ with a bottle inspired by Cybertruck, because why not?

Tesla has announced a new “Gigabeer” with a Cybertruck-inspired bottle that it plans to sell at its plant in Germany.

From a farting machine inside Tesla vehicles to flamethrowers, Elon Musk had a lot of weird ideas that sounded like jokes but came true.

In 2018, Musk mocked Tesla’s enemies with an April Fool’s Day joke about the company’s bankruptcy.

As part of the joke, Musk wrote that he was found “passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by ‘Teslaquila” bottles, “the traces of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.

He later said Tesla was actually planning to launch their own tequila, and they did so last year – selling out within hours.

Now, speaking of the Gigafactory Berlin project, Musk has said that Tesla will have its own beer.

At the GigaFest event last weekend, Musk gave a presentation on Gigafactory Berlin and confirmed that Tesla will be making a “Gigabeer”:

The CEO was discussing some of Tesla’s plans to make life easier and more fun for employees at Gigafactory Berlin, which is expected to employ up to 10,000 people.

He talked about Tesla building a station in the factory to make daily commuting easier and they were going to cover the walls of the street art factory.

Then the CEO confirmed, “We’re going to have a beer,” and revealed this image:

As with Tesla Tequila, it seems the container is more important than the content.

The tequila was launched in partnership with a branded liquor company and hasn’t been on sale for a long time, but it was presented in a cool-looking lighting bolt bottle, which Tesla still sells as a decanter.

Now with Gigabeer it looks like Tesla took inspiration from the Cybertruck lines for the bottle.

The CEO did not give more details on Tesla’s upcoming beer.
