Tesla Cybertruck and New Roadster Star in Absolutely Crazy Gaming Trailer

Tesla doesn’t advertise in the traditional sense, but the company’s vehicles have no problem inspiring amazing projects. One of them was recently created for Tesla China and Tencent Games, and it’s arguably the coolest gaming trailer ever made with the next-gen Cybertruck and Roadster.

Tesla China garnered a lot of attention this weekend after a two-minute trailer for Game for peace (the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile) shopped online. The clips were remarkable, and they were overflowing with references to Elon Musk’s many projects. Needless to say, even the CEO of Tesla himself put his seal of approval on the trailer on Twitter.

The trailer, which was made by @ NutT4y with INFINITE for Tesla China and Tencent Games, opens with a photo of the next-generation Tesla Roadster traveling through space and landing on Mars, where it was joined by the steel Cybertruck. The two all-electric vehicles then traveled back in time 15 years in the past, where they were dropped into an intense battlefield riddled with deadly droids and other threats.

The rest of the trailer was a feast for the eyes, with scenes that wouldn’t be out of place in a legitimate action movie. One of the most notable was the Cybertruck using its heavy steel body to crush multiple droids at once as it drifted, as well as the all-electric pickup truck leaping into the air and straight into a wormhole as it was escaping with -generation Roadster. It’s all fun, but there’s no denying that the whole two-minute streak was absolutely cool.

Being a non-advertising company, the public’s perception of Tesla sometimes tends to be skewed. Thanks to immense negative media coverage as well as the usual criticism from mainstream auto fans, much of the general public is largely unaware of the safety offered by Tesla’s electric cars or their dominant performance. One of the best ways to fill this information gap is to advertise, of course, although that was something Elon Musk was reluctant to do.

Despite this, Tesla’s reach is impressive. Very few people on social media likely ignore Tesla due to Elon Musk’s large following on Twitter. References to Tesla in popular games such as PUBG Mobile (or Game for peace in China) also go a long way in ensuring that the company’s vehicles are as visible as possible.
