Tesla is trying to make record deliveries this quarter and is counting on the North American market to do so with fast deliveries by the end of the month.
Electrek has learned that Tesla currently delivers about 1,000 cars a day.
In recent weeks, CEO Elon Musk said Tesla was within reach of a new record quarter for deliveries, but that he still had some hurdles to overcome.
As announced earlier this month, Tesla's goal is to deliver between 33,000 and 36,000 vehicles in North America in June to beat its delivery record.
The company also offers incentives to employees to motivate them to achieve the goal.
According to sources close to the record, Tesla has been delivering approximately 1,000 cars a day in North America since the beginning of the year.
In addition, nearly 7,000 more shipments are expected over the next 7 days and even more last minute deliveries are expected in the last week of the quarter as buyers attempt to obtain deliveries before the credit Federal tax on Tesla vehicles does not drop again.
