Tesla extends service to "top speed," says Elon Musk

Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said Tesla is now expanding its presence and service capacity to "maximum" speed as the global fleet is growing rapidly.

Over the past two years, Tesla has significantly increased its production capacity and has more than doubled the size of its fleet.

However, its service capacity did not keep pace with production and created friction as wait times for service increased.

Norway is Tesla's largest per capita market and last year we reported a difficult service situation, described as "a frightening vision of the potential of other markets", while Model 3 is rapidly increasing Tesla's fleet in the whole world.

After our report, Tesla acknowledged the problems and said that he was fixing them.

Recently, Tesla made several statements about extending service after CEO Elon Musk admitted "foolish control" of service coverage and planned to open many more service centers around the world.

Today, Musk said the extension of Tesla's service is now at "maximum speed" and that homeowners can expect more service centers in Europe:

Last month, Tesla announced the opening of more than 30 new service centers and many more are planned in the coming months.

Only a few are planned in North America, but with the arrival of Model 3 in Europe, Tesla plans to create many new service centers in the market (new gray centers and red centers :).

Musk said Tesla wants to make vehicles so reliable that they will significantly reduce the workload of its service centers and contribute to the performance of the service worldwide.

However, they are not yet at the rendezvous and therefore need to improve service capacity with more service centers.

Musk added that he believes that the centers were also one of Tesla's main assets in stimulating demand.

People feel more comfortable buying cars when they have a Tesla service center at a reasonable distance. Therefore, the CEO explains that the extension of service centers and Supercharger network will help Tesla to reach more customers.
