Tesla Model 3 driver teases gasoline car owners, viral video on TikTok

It’s completely crazy that a 14 second video with almost nothing to share can be so successful TIC Tac, not to mention really pi ***** a bunch of people off. Social media works in a weird way, that’s for sure.

Throughout the story, a Tesla Model 3 driver posted a very short clip on TikTok. He parks in a gas station in his electric car, gasoline can in hand. Then he gets out of the car with the petrol canister, stating that he has to refill it due to the UK gas crisis. Seconds later, the Tesla driver turns around, takes a look at the Model 3, and reminds us that he doesn’t need gas.

Although the video is short, just plain silly, and the Tesla driver didn’t talk to or disturb anyone, many people online thought the video was unnecessary and inappropriate. Our friends from Teslarati Point out that TikTok’s brief video joke has garnered over a million views, as well as some 58,000 likes. Most importantly, there are hundreds of reviews to read.

It’s no surprise that people have said the Tesla owner should stop bragging. Another comment spoke of the potential for an upcoming “electricity crisis”. Teslarati noted that one of the more upset commentators wrote, “If a Tesla driver is an idiot, just unplug the charger because he left his car.”

It’s comments like these that are a bigger issue, especially if people actually unplug electric cars, which we’ve seen many times in the past. Making a fun video and playing with someone’s car are two very different things.

The Model 3 driver said it was just a silly prank and not about being serious or offending anyone. He also clarified that he didn’t even own the Model 3, but belonged to his wealthy wife. In addition, he owns a motorcycle that requires gasoline, so he is also affected by the gas crisis.
