Tesla Model 3 with new aftermarket bumper – do you like or hate?

[ad_1]

There is already an incredible and growing number of Tesla Model 3 vehicles on the road and some owners are trying to make them a little more unique.

Unplugged Performance offers some products for this purpose, the latest of which is a new model 3 bumper: do you like or hate?

The Tesla tuner has designed the new fascia to be more aggressive than the design of the factory.

It's a little longer: lengthen the total length of the model 3 by about 70 mm.

A bumper may seem like a rather small replacement for a model 3, but there were many things to consider.

For example, even if the model 3 has no engine and therefore does not need a large air intake, it must still use a flow of air from the front fairing.

Unplugged Performance needed to ensure that the air intakes were aligned with the central cooling duct.

They also had to ensure that the new bumper would not interfere with the autopilot sensors at the front of the system, such as radar sensors and ultrasonic sensors.

After the tests, they say they do not see any problem.

One of the first model 3 vehicles to receive this new modified bumper is a fully custom car manufactured by Unplugged Performance for a customer in Dubai.

The client, allegedly a member of the royal family in Dubai, wanted his model 3 to be purple.

We took a closer look at the purple beast with the new bumper during a recent visit to Unplugged Performance. Here are some pictures:

Unplugged Performance sells the new bumper for just under $ 2,000 on its website.

In the case of this specific model 3, globally The aerodynamic performance is probably improved since the vehicle is also equipped with the Unplugged lowering springs set for the model 3.

The purple model 3 also has some other modifications. The first buyers of Model 3 will remember Tesla's controversial decision to turn the material of the inner face and roof of Alcantara into a different textile.

Well, this model owner 3 does not want anything of that and he did it all with Alcantara:

Finally, the vehicle is also equipped with Unplugged custom lightweight forged wheels and the large carbon front brake kit:
