On Thursday night, Tesla CEO Elon Musk will unveil the Y model, an all-electric compact SUV and the fifth-generation vehicle since it was founded in 2003. And unless you're one of the lucky few to have been invited to the exclusive event, chances are you're like us, stuck at home and wondering how to watch the party. Well, we have you covered.
As with previous Tesla events, a live feed will be available on the Tesla website, either directly on the main page or via the Events and Presentations section of the Investor Relations page. To date, the link has not been posted yet. The event will take place at 20:00 (23:00 ET). So, as usual with Tesla events, the East Coast company's fans will have a late night.
The Y model was unveiled for the first time in 2019 and will go into production at the end of 2020. The vehicle will share about 75% of its components with the Model 3 sedan. This should help the crossover to reach the stage of production and to develop its cost. In September 2020, Tesla was hoping to build 2,000 Y models a week.
