A Tesla cruiser from the Fremont Police Department in California, reportedly ran out of battery during a lawsuit last week, to drop the lawsuit.
Officials told San Francisco's CBS affiliate that someone from the department had forgotten to load the 2014 Tesla Model S and that an officer was tracking down a vehicle to South Bay had then radioed that it was not clear. he lacked battery.
