Tesla plans to offer travel destinations to owners with embedded navigation in an upcoming software update, according to CEO Elon Musk.

Tesla owners often tell us that the Supercharger network really pushes them to make more trips by car than they would with a regular car, especially since Tesla offers owners unlimited credits for boost and boost.
Now, Tesla plans to suggest destinations.
As has often been the case in the past, the idea behind this project arose from a suggestion made to Twitter by a Tesla owner at Elon Musk:

In another tweet, Musk confirmed that he would bring new buttons to the Tesla navigation system based on the following suggestion:

In the past year, Musk has been talking about "significantly" improving maps and navigation in Tesla.

It's always nice to see Musk implement feature requests from owners.
I could see myself using this feature during a trip. It actually looks like a TripAdvisor or Airbnb-like feature that will suggest activities and places to visit.
Based on my own experience of the road with Tesla vehicles, the new Tesla owners will travel a lot more in their car because the experience is so much more enjoyable.
It would be great for Tesla to create features around that.
This could be a good start, and they could add items such as ratings and reviews from homeowners, who could basically become a TripAdvisor-powered community Tesla.
