Tesla’s $ 25,000 Model 2 Electric Car Returned – Dope or Nope?

Tesla’s next $ 25,000 electric car, sometimes referred to as a “Model 2,” was rendered by an artist.

A little over a year ago, Tesla announced its intention to create a new R&D and design center in China to build a “Chinese-style” electric car.

Tesla began accepting design submissions for its Chinese-made small electric car last summer and began hiring for the program soon after.

At the time, the automaker also released this first design drawing of a small electric sedan.

This has led a lot of people to think that this is the design direction and form factor Tesla is choosing for the next electric vehicle:

Later, speaking about what Tesla’s new battery cell and “structural battery” architecture could do at Battery Day last year, CEO Elon Musk announced that Tesla will make a 25,000 electric car. $.

The CEO commented in the announcement:

Tesla will make a compelling $ 25,000 electric vehicle that is also fully autonomous.

He made it clear that this new price is being met thanks to Tesla’s new battery cell and battery manufacturing effort.

Musk also added that the new $ 25,000 electric car will hit the market in about three years, when Tesla ramps up production of its new battery cell.

Both the $ 25,000 electric car and the new Chinese sedan have been linked to the same car in recent comments from the head of Tesla in China.

Now, a Brazilian artist from KDesign AG on Behance posted an interesting render based on the design of the sedan that Tesla posted:

Taking Electrek

Personally, I like it a lot, but I think the actual vehicle will need more rounded angles for aerodynamic performance.

Also, these wheels resemble Tesla’s Model 3 track wheels, and the Model 3, or whatever the name is, will definitely need to be fitted with aero wheels.

However, I could see Tesla making a hot hatchback version with two engines, better wheels and tires, and great performance.

But I can imagine that the base version looks like a slightly toned down version of this render.
