Texans’ Will Fuller and Bradley Roby suspend 6 games for PED violations | Launderer report

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller V and cornerback Bradley Roby have each been suspended for six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy.

Fuller announced on his Instagram page on Monday that he was suspended after taking what he said were prescribed medications he believed allowed.

He wrote the following message:

“Earlier this year, I sought treatment from a medical professional who prescribed drugs that he believed to be authorized under the NFL.‘s drug policy. It turns out that my confidence in this professional was misplaced because this drug was NOT an approved substance under the NFL Performance Enhancing Substances Policy.

“Due to this error, I was suspended for six games for taking this banned drug. I sincerely apologize to the Texas organization and all my fans for this error. I can’t wait to put all behind me and coming back better than ever in 2021.

“Thanks, Will.”

Roby also posted a statement on social media, revealing that he “unknowingly used a product contaminated with an NFL banned substance”:

With only five games remaining in Houston, that means Notre Dame and Ohio State products will be sidelined until the 2021 campaign.

Fuller appeared in each of his team’s first 11 games and tallied 53 catches for 879 yards and eight touchdowns. He was in the middle of a breakout campaign and was on track for the first 1,000-yard season of his career before that suspension.

The 26-year-old was Houston’s main receiver this season and has become a prime target with DeAndre Hopkins no longer on the roster. He also turned heads at Thanksgiving with six catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Detroit Lions.

With Fuller suspended, look for Brandin Cooks to be Deshaun Watson’s best option for the rest of the season. He has 52 catches for 719 yards and three touchdowns.

As for Roby, he has 37 tackles, seven assists defended and one interception in 10 games and is often tasked with defending the opponent’s best wide receivers.

The Texans are 4-7 this year, but have won three of their last four games and have rebounded after sacking head coach Bill O’Brien.

They face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but maintaining their recent momentum will be a much tougher task without Fuller and Roby on the pitch.
