A suspension ended Will Fuller’s 2020 season.
The Texans wide receiver has been suspended six games by the NFL for a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. Fuller announced his suspension via Instagram, explaining that he had taken a drug he believed permitted by league policy, but later learned that was not the case. Later Monday, Texans cornerback Bradley Roby announced that he had also been suspended for six games and his season was over.
Fuller will miss the Texans’ last five games this season, plus one more in 2021, as will Roby.
“As a result of this error, I was suspended for six games for taking this banned drug,” Fuller wrote in his post. “I want to sincerely apologize to the Texan organization and all my fans for this mistake. I can’t wait to put all of this behind me and come back better than ever in 2021.”
Fuller was in the middle of a career year, catching 53 passes for 879 yards and eight touchdowns in a career-high 11 games in a Texans offense that increasingly relied on passing play. He had benefited from such a change, as evidenced by his production, but it will end there with this suspension.

Roby started 10 games for the Texans with 37 tackles, one interception and seven assists defended. Roby has two more seasons on his current contract with the Texans.

I recognize that it’s my job to know and be responsible for whatever I put into my body. I will be suspended for six years.
