A Texas Amber alert was issued for 8-year-old Salem Sabatka after her violent kidnapping on a Fort Worth street, local officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.

The incident occurred just after 18:30. Saturday, when a man approached a mother and daughter in the block of 2900 6th Avenue. He then seized Salem and pulled her into his car, police said.

The mother tried to take Salem out of the vehicle, but the man pushed her out and started at high speed. The abduction was filmed on a camera at the door (video below), which shows a dark gray 4-door sedan with alloy wheels and paper plates taking off.

The suspect has not been identified yet, but is described as a black man with light skin, lean, bald and lacking facial hair. He may be 40, police said, and he was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket and a gray shirt.

Salem is an 8-year-old woman with brown hair and blue eyes who is 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 56 pounds. The last time she was seen, she was wearing a teal shirt with a pink "Centennial" inscription and green leggings in periwinkle mousse. She has freckles under the eyes and pierced ears.

Anyone who sees Salem, the suspect or the suspect's vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately or to call the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-392-4222 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
