Friday’s trial targets the Biden administration’s 100-day break on evictions. The decision to temporarily stop deportations was taken “to ensure that we have a fair and effective immigration control system focused on protecting national security, border security and public safety,” according to one DHS press release this week.
The moratorium on eviction takes effect Friday.
