The Democratic presidential candidate, Julián Castro, lost one of his confessions to Congress on Sunday, while Texas Representative Vicente Gonzalez replaced his support for former Vice President Joe Biden.
Gonzalez was one of three Texas representatives to have endorsed the former secretary of the HUD, alongside Castro's twin brother, Rep Joaquin Castro, and representative Colin Allred. Gonzalez announced his support for Castro in March, stating at the time: "I personally know his passion for developing opportunities for the Latin American community, people of color and historically deprived communities, as well as his dedication unprecedented for the construction of a dynamic democratic bench, candidates in Texas and nationwide ".

Gonzalez announced his move to CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday morning stating, "I think at this point, we need to narrow the field and unite as Democrats to defeat Trump in November 2020. C & # 39; that's why I believe I'm giving my support to Vice President Joe Biden. "
Castro and Biden clashed on Thursday during the third democratic debate. Castro also criticized the former vice president for his record on health policy and for focusing on his links with former President Barack Obama.
In one of the most dramatic moments of the debate, Castro accused Biden of wanting to "boast" of Obama's achievements when he summons him, but moves away from the former president for a policy that has become unpopular.
"I fulfill Barack Obama's legacy, and you are not," said Castro during the debate.
Biden is currently ahead of the Democratic group, followed by far by Castro. Gonzalez, explaining his change, noted that Castro "was looking into the low numbers."
