Texas designates more coronavirus vaccination centers in Houston area

HOUSTON – Other coronavirus vaccination centers have been designated in the Houston area.

According to officials from the State Department of Health Services, more than 333,000 initial doses of the vaccine are expected to be delivered next week to 260 providers across Texas. Texas is also ordering 500,000 second doses, officials said.

Among these providers are 79 centers for large-scale immunization efforts.

Previously, the state had named three hubs in the Houston area. Health officials on Saturday released a list showing several other centers had been established in the Houston area.
