AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – Texas has sacked former quarter-star star Vince Young from his role as a part-time development officer, responsible for poor performance and often absent from work or n? having no contact with his superiors.

The move also comes after February 4, when Young had a second arrest for impaired driving on February 3rd.

Young's March 1 layoff letter states that he was fired "for failing to demonstrate a significant and lasting improvement in the performance of his job responsibilities and for failing to meet appropriate standards of conduct. and acceptable for the university ". He has received job warnings since 2017.

The Associated Press has obtained the letter and the personal record of Young through an open records application.

Young declined to comment on Saturday. His record included several good performance evaluations and a February letter from Young saying that he had done a good job of building stronger school relationships with donors.
