Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman Transfers

For the first time since former LSU and Louisiana Tech offensive tackle Willie Allen signed to the Wolverines last fall, Michigan football has added a player from the NCAA transfer portal.

A native of the 2018 recruiting class, Alan Bowman was a three-star quarterback for Grapevine (TX). Professional-style QB, Bowman played three seasons at Texas Tech, completing 67% of his passes for 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns for 17 interceptions of 713 attempts. And on Sunday, he joined an ongoing quarterback battle between Cade McNamara and former five-star JJ McCarthy, as he announced on Twitter that he was engaging with the Wolverines.

While he played 19 games in three seasons, he did his second year in the red shirt and has two years of eligibility left.
