Tfue explains why Ninja and other big streamers stop playing Fortnite

Previously one of Fortnite’s biggest personalities and most successful contenders, Tfue has finally quit playing Epic’s battle royale altogether and has now explained why he and other creators quit the game.

While Fortnite was once considered the king of battle royale, it has seen a slow but steady decline in popularity. With new challengers like Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends eating into its player base, for many, the title is no longer considered the best BR experience.

In a recent Twitch livestream, former Fortnite streamer and pro gamer Turner “ Tfue ” Tenney shared his take on the game amid an ongoing rift in his community, and explained why he believed that Many big name streamers like Tyler “ Ninja ” Blevins have left the game for greener pastures.

The conversation began when a viewer asked Tenney why her Twitter timeline was “full of kids crying about the game.” While Tfue briefly touched on Epic Games banning pros from betting, he then turned to the exodus of game content creators in general.

“This Ninja guy, what is he playing, League [of Legends] now? Not surprised. And this guy from Tfue, he plays Minecraft, he plays Warzone? Interesting. What about that big Fortnite streamer NICKMERCS? What is he playing, CoD? It’s crazy, ”he said sarcastically to his fans.

“It’s almost like all the big streamers with a certain personality have ventured into different games,” he continued, referring to the fact that many content creators who have focused on Fortnite in the past ( like Ninja) have stopped playing the game, in some cases altogether.

“They realized that they had a personality and that they could venture out and play other games while pursuing a career in streaming,” explained Turner. He then reaffirmed his view that “basically Fortnite is just filled with a bunch of people with no personality and the game’s f ** king is dead.”

Tfue shared his take on the state of Fortnite as many in the gaming community, like NRG’s Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod, expressed their own disappointment with the current BR season and the controversy in course on betting as the hashtag #RIPFortnite was trending on Twitter.

Tenney ended his explanation by saying that “all of the strong personality content creators that I have encountered while playing Fortnite are no longer playing Fortnite. Why play a game that sucks? The comments come about 5 months after he publicly shared his own reasons for leaving BR.

While Fortnite still boasts impressive engagement numbers, it’s clear that players like Tfue and Ninja have made a conscious decision to move away from creating content based on Epic’s title, which it never is. a good sign in today’s world, where content creators are driving player retention and interest.
