A group of prisoners at liberty of work came to the rescue of a little girl who was locked in a truck using a metal clothes hanger to get into the vehicle.

The five convicts, who at the time wore their black and white jail clothes, worked alongside members of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office and the public to rescue the girl after her father had him. accidentally locked up in the SUV, in a nearby car park. the West Pasco Judicial Center in New Port Richey, Florida.

After his father tied him to his seat, he threw the keys to the front. When he closed the rear door, he realized that the whole vehicle was locked with the keys and that the girl was still inside.

The baby's mother, Shadow Lantry, recorded on her mobile phone the moment the prisoners arrived to help open the door with the hanger and posted the video on Facebook, where she has since been viewed more than 30,000 times.

"It's not funny for the baby, but everything else is hilarious," it was said, as the crowd gathered around the SUV to help open the door. After a few minutes, they manage to open the door, much to the relief of the parents.

"These are prisoners who exclude themselves and are completely open, so thank god for the criminals of the world," said Lantry during the video.

The one – year – old girl was not injured during the 14 February incident. "She was just sitting there happy," Lantry told CBS 12. "It was only at the opening of the door that she started crying, getting nervous, and to marvel what was happening. "

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco praised the actions of low-risk offenders who came to help the baby.

"There is only a very small percentage of these criminals who want to fight us and want to attack us, but many of them, like these individuals, know that they have done so well. bad mistakes, bad choices, but they want to do the right thing in life, "Nocco told WFTS.

Addressing the WZNV, Nocco said that letting criminals get into a car with a coat rack is only allowed "when a member is present and we give our permission".
