But until today, we have not yet seen exactly what the service on Android devices would look like. Since Disney started testing the Android app in the Netherlands, we now have a better idea.
A bit like other devices, the application offers the same carousel, with easy access to different sections of the application. Disney + App for Android, has tabs at the bottom to go from Home, Search, Downloads, and Profiles.
Featured Carousel
In addition to the Disney + app, you'll find a featured content carousel, with animated vignettes for each of the Disney properties below. Typing on a thumbnail takes you to an exclusive experience designed for that content, like Pixar or Marvel.
Application tiles and individual sections
When you are in an individual section, you can see featured shows and movies, as well as personalized recommendations based on your viewing history.
Show & Movie Page
When you select a show or movie, you will need to see more details about the movie – such as Captain Marvel. For the moment, it does not seem that their trailers are automatically launched. You can add it to your watch list or start / resume playback.
Just as if you were buying a digital copy of a movie, you will be able to watch Extras around movies.
User profiles and avatars
Each account will allow you to create up to 7 profiles for different members of your household. You can choose an avatar from your favorite Disney characters, like Woody from Toy Story.
Offline mode
You will be able to download unlimited Disney + programs and movies on up to 10 devices.
