The second minor earthquake in less than two days briefly rocked East Bay on Saturday afternoon.
The US Geological Survey recorded the magnitude 3.5 quake less than 2 miles north of San Leandro shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The quake traveled nearly 4 miles deep and could be felt in outer counties of Alameda and Contra Costa, according to The Chronicle’s earthquake tracker.
The same region was struck by a magnitude 3.0 earthquake on Friday night, according to the USGS.
